Prof Workeabeba Taye

Professor of Paediatric Infectious Diseases, Addis Ababa University 

Prof Taye is the Head of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health. She works as a paediatric infectious diseases sub-specialist at Tinkur Anbessa (Black Lion) Hospital in Addis Ababa and has significant experience in COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS research. Her earlier collaborative work on antimicrobial stewardship has been adopted by the Ministry of Health and used to develop the national antimicrobial stewardship programs across the public and private hospitals in Ethiopia. She oversees implementation of clinical activities in Ethiopia.
