Professor Tumwine is a paediatrician with extensive research experience in infectious diseases and child health in urban and rural areas of Uganda. He has supervised dozens of clinical PhD and Masters students. In addition to his role as Co-Director, he serves as Training Lead (clinical stream), and oversees implementation of clinical activities in Kabale as part of the Uganda Country Team.
